Paul Oakley Stovall’s play, “Immediate Family,” has been described as a cross between “Modern Family” and “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.”

When the prodigal son of the family, Jesse, returns home for his brother’s wedding, he introduces his new Swedish boyfriend as the wedding photographer, and everything goes awry. This critically acclaimed play is on stage at Out Front Theatre through March 29.

“City Lights” host Lois Reitzes was joined by Jason Jamal Ligon, who portrays Jesse, and director Thandiwe DeShayzor.
