Local hearing specialist provides tips about hearing-loss-friendly holiday gatherings

According to the National Insititute of  Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, it’s estimated that 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss.

Ashley Pearce, a hearing care professional at HearUSA in Atlanta, says carefully pronouncing and enunciating consonants and vowel sounds are important when you are talking with someone who is experiencing hearing loss.
