Tim Turner, the founder and CEO of Satisfeed, says hunger is not going away — and that his organization provides food to more than 300 families per week, equalling roughly 21,000 pounds of food.

“I have folks driving from 13 counties,” Turner said on Friday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

During the conversation, Turner talked with show host Rose Scott about ongoing efforts to fight food insecurity while battling food deserts, high food costs due to inflation and the recent ending of pandemic-era SNAP benefits.

He also talked about continuously feeding those in need while navigating a food shortage in Georgia and the lack of food distribution volunteers.
