Atlanta Symphony music director laureate Robert Spano returns to conduct the ASO in two series of weekend concerts at the end of March.

As we celebrate 50 years of Atlanta’s symphony broadcasts on WABE, the maestro joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes again to share stories about his 22 years on the ASO podium, delighting concertgoers with his artistry and warmth.

“I felt and feel a tremendous amount of love for this group of musicians; it’s my musical family,” said Spano.

Spano is conducting “Copland” from March 20-22 and “Scheherazade” from March 27-29.
