MARTA Resumes Service After Man Shot On Train In Atlanta

An Atlanta transit system has resumed service after a man shot another rider on a train.

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority officials told news outlets that the transit line was suspended Sunday after a man was shot around 6:30 p.m. near the Kensington station on the eastbound line. Investigators say the victim was shot in the leg.

Police say the suspect fled when the MARTA train stopped at the station.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

The victim’s identity has not been released. The condition of the victim was not available.
