When “MJ the Musical” arrives in Atlanta, audiences at the Fox Theatre won’t just hear familiar songs or see iconic choreography recreated on stage. The Tony Award-winning musical places viewers inside the rehearsal room, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the discipline, collaboration and creative rigor that shaped Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour.
Running Jan. 27 through Feb. 1, as part of Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta, the touring production reframes Jackson’s legacy through process rather than spectacle — and through the people who helped bring his vision to life.
One of the most striking themes for both performers is the show’s portrayal of Jackson’s perfectionism.
