The founder of a new Atlanta-based foundation is trying to help Black entrepreneurs, who are also parents, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

James Oliver says he launched the ParentPreneur Foundation because he knows what it feels like firsthand to juggle parenting and entrepreneurship and the resources required for both roles.

On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” Oliver and Pamela J. Booker, the founder and CEO of Koils by Nature, talk with the show’s host about a new grant the foundation awarded to several small business owners. They also share how the foundation is taking a holistic approach to helping parentpreneurs beyond financial resources.
