Gavin McGuire, the recently named executive director of the Grove Park Foundation, says Grove Park is one of the greatest neighborhoods in the world, made up of diverse leaders, great businesses, and people working to improve the quality of life for neighbors who live in the community.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” McGuire told program host Rose Scott that the foundation is taking a holistic approach and working side-by-side with community members to empower them.

“We are really big on focusing on economic mobility and we know there’s a lot of key components for economic mobility: housing, income, and health and wellness,” explained McGuire.

He further explained seeking feedback from neighbors through community visioning sessions, shared his thoughts about Microsoft’s plans to build a 90-acre campus in Grove Park and the recent spike in prices for homes in the neighborhood.
