An expedition through the outermost creative possibilities of wood greets visitors to the Mable House Arts Center in Mableton through Nov. 15.
Master woodworker Doug Pisik showcases a collection of sculptures and crafts that suggest connections to biology, music, and emotion through surprising achievements in 3D geometry. Doug Pisik joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes via Riverside to discuss his craft and the works on view for this exhibition at Mable House.
When asked about why he chose wood as his medium for expression, Pisik explained to Reitzes that “the wood itself is just so tactile.”
