Scotty Crowe

Senior Leadership

How many years have you been in Atlanta?

“12, across three seasons (early years, college years, and the now)

Why is the work WABE does in amplifying Atlanta vital to our communities?

“On the Audio side of WABE Studios, we’re focused on listening. That’s crafting informed, dynamic, valuable audio experiences. It’s also holding collaboration at the center of our creative process. It’s staying attuned to the needs of those around us and across the city. It’s a commitment to learning.

As a believer in the power of story, it’s a joy to extend our platform to uplift and build around the voices that define and drive our city. The hope is that – in listening – our communities find connection to one another and the city itself, feeling empowered, inspired, and active in continuing to shape Atlanta’s identity.

What’s your favorite part about being a part of the WABE team?

There’s a collective spirit in working towards things that matter. That brings a special kind of intuitive collaboration, kindness, and openheartedness that’s hard to find elsewhere.

What makes Atlanta “Atlanta”? What makes the Greater Metro area special?

“There’s no city in the world that matches the history, culture, and energy of Atlanta.”
