Early voting has already started in the Nov. 7 election to succeed Kasim Reed as mayor of Atlanta. On “Morning Edition’s” Political Breakfast, political strategists Brian Robinson and Tharon Johnson gave WABE’s Denis O’Hayer a guide to the clues to watch in the early vote.

Robinson is a Republican strategist, and former deputy chief of staff and communications director for Governor Nathan Deal.  Johnson is a Democratic strategist and former national southern regional director for President Obama’s 2012 campaign.

This edition of the Political Breakfast also included their thoughts on the new Atlanta U.S. Attorney B.J. Pak, who is taking over the lead in the investigation of the City of Atlanta bribery scandal.

In the expanded version, the two strategists talk about President Trump’s recent announcement that he is scrapping the health insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act, and how that decision might affect Georgia consumers and GOP political leaders in the state.
