Metropolitan Museum of Art president discusses ‘Why the Museum Matters’ at Carlos Museum

In his new book “Why the Museum Matters,” Daniel H. Weiss writes, “At their best, art museums take us to new places, allowing us to see the larger world differently than we otherwise would and, in turn, to learn something about ourselves.”

Dr. Weiss is the president and CEO of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the past president of Haverford college. Daniel Weiss will give a talk in Atlanta on February 28th at Emory University’s Carlos Museum. He joined Lois Reitzes to discuss why the museum matters.
