Rowdy Conventions, Georgia’s Role In 2016 Elections: Strategists Weigh In

Republicans have finished an often-contentious national convention; Democrats began their convention with the resignation of their national chair, and demonstrators in the Philadelphia streets.  Meanwhile, new polling shows Georgia could be a presidential election battleground, for the first time in more than two decades.

On “Morning Edition,” host Denis O’Hayer took a deep dive into the emerging fight for the state, with Republican strategist Brian Robinson, a former deputy chief of staff to Gov. Nathan Deal, and Democratic strategist Tharon Johnson, who was the national southern regional director for President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign.
