Santa Dee, also known as “The Real Black Santa,” understands the importance of representation.
He says kids don’t see color, but it makes a personal difference to them when they see a Santa who looks like them. He says there’s nothing like seeing children’s eyes light up every time they see a Santa.
On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Santa Dee talked with show host Rose Scott about his work this holiday season and how what he does is centered on diversity, equity and inclusion through the Santas of Color Coalition.
