Severe weather is on the way to Georgia. Here’s what causes tornadoes and how to decipher watches and warnings

A line of storms will move into North and Central Georgia — including metro Atlanta — on Saturday and Sunday with hail, damaging winds and tornadoes possible, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

“A strong tornado cannot be ruled out,” NWS reported.
