Elaine Stephenson is an Atlanta muralist and designer. Her work adorns walls all over the city with bright colors and positive messages. Her distinctive visual style incorporates vivid typography, often with geometrics and flowers. Stephenson is also a professional graphic designer, but her greatest motivation is the joy of seeing her artwork on a large scale, enlivening public spaces.
Born and raised in Atlanta, she considers the city a definite influence in her art, “especially in its reputation for fighting for civil rights and social justice.” She namedrops the MODA (Museum of Design Atlanta) and Cat Eye Creative as among her favorite places to see art. Elaine Stephenson’s work decorates several walls at Atlantic Station and in the West End.
