Strategists Weigh In On What It Will Take To Win Georgia On Election Day

Election Day is now just under a week away, and Georgia is already making national headlines.

In 2016, neither President Donald Trump nor his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton visited Georgia after their respective primary wins.

This year, it’s different.

Trump has visited three times since the summer.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic challenger, was in Atlanta on Tuesday.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” host Rose Scott spoke with political strategists from both sides of the aisle for their perspectives on what they make of the race so far, and what they expect to see on Nov. 3.

Guests:

  • Abigail Collazo, former Democratic campaign manager and director of strategic communications for Democratic candidates
  • Alexander Hernandez, co-chair of the Immigrants’ Rights Working Group of the Democratic Socialists of America
  • Megan DuBose, South Fulton director for the Young Democrats of Atlanta
  • Cory Ruth, CEO of Mergence Global, an international consulting firm
  • Julianne Thompson, president of the Atlanta-based MSN strategies
  • Eric Tanenblatt, global chair of public policy and regulation at Dentons law firm
