Syrian-American composer Malek Jandali's new album further expands classical music

In contemporary classical music, the lifeblood of a centuries-old legacy remains young, as many new composers expand the language of the classical canon beyond Europe and the West.

Among the acclaimed contemporary voices is Syrian-American composer Malek Jandali, who recently released a new album of world-premiere concertos for violin and clarinet.
