A group of Texas-based Buddhist monks is spreading a message of unity and mindfulness through a 2,300-mile “Walk for Peace.” The group recently made a few stops in the Atlanta area after walking for more than 60 days.

On Monday, over a dozen monks were welcomed into the Morrow Center Exhibition Hall for a gathering right next to Southlake Mall.

Hundreds of eager spectators flowed into the building, lining the walls with flowers, donations and signs. Some lined the streets and sidewalks to see the monks enter from Mt Zion Road.
