This summer, acclaimed pianist Julie Coucheron gathered some of Atlanta’s top performers of chamber music to create a virtual concert series.

The response has been fantastic.

Now, the all-star Atlanta Chamber Music team will be holding their third concert on Nov. 8, from the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta on Peachtree Street.

Violinist and Atlanta Symphony Concertmaster David Coucheron, along with his sister Julie Coucheron, joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to talk about the “Concerts at First” series.

When asked what it’s been like to perform in front of a virtual audience, David Coucheron said, “You know, we’ve learned a lot of lessons from this pandemic, but one of them is how important it is to have an audience, and we really feed and play for that audience in the hall.”

This special Thanksgiving concert will offer a limited number of seats for in-person attendance. Other audience members can watch the concert virtually.

The program will have works from Mozart, Piazzolla, Schumann and Mendelssohn.
