There are questions about the botanical identity of the tomato. Is it a vegetable or a fruit?

Whatever you think it is, if you attend the Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival this Sunday, you will be able to taste a vast array of recipes based on this summertime treasure including ice cream and cocktails. 50 chefs and at least 30 farms will offer up the best they’ve got as a fundraiser for Georgia Organics.

Alice Rolls, the Executive Director of Georgia Organics and Chef Drew Belline, VP of Creative at Ford Fry Restaurants joined City Lights host Lois Reitzes to discuss the 11th annual festival.

“I love this event because it pairs two of the hardest working professions: chefs/restaurateurs and farmers,” Rolls said.

The festival will be Sunday afternoon from 1-5pm at JCT Kitchen & Bar in the Westside Provisions District on Howell Mill Road.
