Serenbe Playhouse

Kayley Morrison plays the title role in The True Story of Pocahontas. The play features an entirely Native American creative team and sheds some truth to the myth.

The show is onstage at Serenbe Playhouse through Sunday, Aug. 4 as part of their family series.

Morrison joined “City Lights” to talk about her role, and how the idea for the story came to be.

The play, “will breathe new life into the story of America’s first heroine. In this original telling, we meet Pocahontas just before she is set to leave her beloved home in Virginia to begin a new chapter with husband, John Rolfe, in England.”
