Set in 1950’s gleaming Manhattan, the world-premiere of “Men with Money” follows three young, eligible bachelors in search of wealthy partners. Their goal– to marry from rags to riches.
Bill Nelson wrote the book and lyrics for the play with the assistance of Joseph Trefler back in 2014. The musical is written in an utopian world where being gay is culturally accepted and Eleanor Roosevelt is the President of the United States. Lois Reitzes spoke with Bill along with actor Adrianna Trachell, who plays the character “Thursday.”
The musical opens 8 p.m. Thursday at Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville. It will run through April 7.
