Tiller Truck AFD

David Barasoain | WABE

June 14th, 2012

The Atlanta Fire Department has many types of fire trucks, but the Tiller Truck is distinct because of its length and because it needs two drivers. One of them drives the front of the truck and the other, in the back, controls the rear wheels. The nearly 1000 employees of the 37 Fire Stations cover 132 square miles within the Metropolitan Atlanta Area and provide mutual aid to neighboring counties upon request.
