The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) has introduced a new exhibit that features a crochet coral reef, hand-knit temperature maps of the planet and an embroidered scrolling tapestry that traces the saga of oil and features dinosaurs. These and other wonders are in the exhibition “Threads of Change: Design and Data,” which runs through May 25.

Contributing artist Sandra Sawatsky and curator Laura Flusche joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to discuss this colorful exhibit.

“Textiles are mediums of comfort that we’re all so familiar with, and that transfer of the way that data is represented helps us understand it,” said Flusche.
