'We didn't put the best person forward': Outgoing Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan on potential Walker Warnock runoff

Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan has said that he will focus on building an advocacy organization called GOP 2.0 that “will focus on healing and rebuilding a Republican Party that is damaged but not destroyed.”

Republican Burt Jones has a commanding lead in the Georgia Lieutenant Governor’s race. Even though the race has not officially been called, it looks like a victory for Jones against Democrat Charlie Bailey and Libertarian Ryan Graham.

Jones replaces current Republican Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, who decided not to run again.

Duncan wanted to leave office to focus on healing and re-branding a Republican Party he felt went awry during Donald Trump’s presidency.
