East Point’s downtown area is expected to receive a facelift.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” East Point Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham told program host Rose Scott that the once-in-a-lifetime project called The Commons will be divided into three phases and is expected to take about four-and-a-half years to complete.
“This can be an opportunity to show how we can equitably revitalize our city,” said Ingraham.
During the conversation, Ingraham discussed several other topics including the city’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, public safety and solutions to solving the city’s infrastructure needs.
