Andrew Moore Photographs ‘The South’

From drum set detritus to decaying buildings, photographer Andrew Moore spent the past two years documenting the South. He is unveiling his first photos from this collection at the Jackson Fine Art gallery here in Atlanta.

Moore always focuses on a sense of place — whether it’s Abu Dhabi, Detroit, Vietnam, Cuba, Bosnia, Russia or Augusta, Georgia. His photos are immense — in literal size and more metaphorical complexity.

In our conversation, Moore introduces his work and his familiar, yet distant, view of “The South.”
