Atlanta Reacts To Terrorist Attacks In Paris

Terrorists linked to the so-called Islamic State killed more than 120 people in Paris Friday.
Countries and people from around the world have been rallying around France. In Atlanta, the French Consulate held a vigil Sunday for people to show their support for the nation.
Atlantan Julian Dorio was performing at the Bataclan theatre in Paris when it was attacked.
Dorio survived.
He’s a University of Georgia graduate and a member of the popular Athens band, The Whigs.
Dave Matysiak, a friend of Dorio’s, said he was shocked and saddened by the news of the attack, but relieved to learn Dorio had escaped the theater.
“He’s a good dude. So it’s just so messed up when it’s that close to home. Because it’s someone you’ve played shows with and known as a friend, to be in that kind of situation it’s just mind blowing,” said Matysiak.
