Man Martin Fuses Information, Humor In ‘The Lemon Jell-O Syndrome’
A new novel from Atlanta author Man Martin manages to be both incredibly informative on matters of trivia ranging from grammar to neurology — as well as just plain funny.
That novel is “The Lemon Jell-O Syndrome.” Bone King – the novel’s protagonist – is an English teacher who develops a sudden and mysterious neurological impairment: He cannot walk through doors. Bone seeks the help of a famous neurologist, who offers him a diagnosis as peculiar as his ailment.
Lois Reitzes spoke with Man Martin for an interview on “City Lights,” posted in the audio above.
“The Lemon Jell-O Syndrome” is out now from Unbridled Books. The official launch party is May 23 at 7:15 p.m. at the DeKalb Public Library’s Georgia Center for the Book.
