Atlanta born T.I. has gained fame and wealth over the years. He is known as “The King of The South,” because of chart-topping rap songs, blockbuster movie appearances and successful business ventures.

However, he started off with humble beginnings while growing up in Atlanta’s west side neighborhood, Bankhead.
“What I’m doing right now nobody in my family could have taught me how to do. So that’s why I’m proud to say where I started from, because the ending could have been catastrophically different,” T.I. said during the ATL PBA documentary, “This Is Where I’m From: The Transformation of Tip Harris.”
