Over Justice Department objections, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the release of grand jury transcripts from the investigation into an infamous 1946 lynching in Georgia.
The brutal shooting deaths of four African-Americans took place in Monroe, Georgia, at the Moore’s Ford Bridge. Despite the grand jury investigation, no one was ever arrested or prosecuted.
