Valerie Jackson In Conversation: Bishop Michael Curry, Rabbi Joshua Lesser

The Most Rev. Bishop Michael Curry talks about his thoughts on love and what he calls “crazy Christians.”

In this installment of “Valerie Jackson in Conversation,” we talk with two guests.

First is the Most Rev. Bishop Michael Curry, who is the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church. This past year, he delivered the famous sermon at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Rabbi Joshua Lesser of congregation Bet Haverim

We’ll talk about his thoughts on love and what he calls “crazy Christians.”

Our second guest is Rabbi Joshua Lesser of congregation Bet Haverim, whose leadership and activism include his work with the LGBTQ community in protecting their rights and in building bridges between different faith communities, including his recent time spent at the United States’ southern border.

Both guests have a fresh take on spiritual leadership in what many consider to be a turbulent political, social and spiritual time in America.

“In Conversation with Valerie Jackson” is a series in which the former first lady of Atlanta speaks with some of today’s most dynamic artists, innovative thinkers and interesting personalities. This program originally airs on Feb. 24, 2019.
