A Look At Georgia Power’s Proposed Rate Case

WABE reporter Emma Hurt joined “Morning Edition” to discuss Georgia Power’s request to raise its electric rates.

This week, Georgia Power made its case to the Georgia Public Service Commission in person to state why it needs to raise its electric rates.

The rate hike would mean an increase of about $10 for the average residential customer’s monthly bill.

WABE’s Emma Hurt followed the hearings all week.  She joined “Morning Edition” host Lisa Rayam to talk through what happened.
