Nicole Moore understands how some American history can make people feel uncomfortable. But she wants people to know it, understand it, and embrace lifelong learning.
Moore, who is a historian and educator, serves as the director of education for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. She is the mastermind behind the center’s new free learning portal, which was eight years in the making.
On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Moore talked about how the portal aims to be a trusted resource for teachers, parents, students or anyone who wants to bring accurate history about the fight for civil and human rights into classrooms and homes.
