A GoFundMe set up for the family of David Rose, a DeKalb County officer who died in the line of duty when a gunman attacked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention this month, has raised more than $600,000 from 7,000 people.

The page states the funds raised will go directly to the 33-year-old officer’s wife and two children, plus a third on the way, to help ease the financial burden that they now face, allowing them to focus on “healing and honoring his legacy.”
