TSA workers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport continue to be caught in the middle of the federal government shutdown that’s now over two weeks old.

Aaron Barker represents the local American Federation of Government Employees Union. He tells WABE’s “Morning Edition” that food vouchers donated by the City of Atlanta and U.S. REp. Nikema Williams’ office are getting tangled in red tape.

Williams’ office tells WABE the meal vouchers were transferred to TSA on Monday, a few days later than the originally announced date. Williams tells WABE that any attempts to limit relief to TSA workers are “unacceptable” actions against federal workers.
