Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is appearing before the Georgia Senate Special Committee on Investigations on Wednesday to address allegations of misconduct against her connected to her prosecution of the now-dismissed 2020 election interference case, which included the indictment of President Donald Trump.
A grand jury indicted Trump and 18 other defendants in August. 2023. Willis alleged the defendants conspired to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.
Willis was disqualified from the case last year due to an improper personal relationship Willis had with special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
