The Biden administration is pushing for employers with more than 100 employees to require mandatory vaccination or COVID testing.
Ed Buckley, a managing partner and one of the founding partners of Buckley Beal LLP, a law firm that focuses on employment and business law, was a guest on Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look.”
He told program host Rose Scott that it’s legal for employers to require their employees to be vaccinated, but there are a few exceptions such as for medical and religious reasons.
“The general rule of thumb is that employers, regardless of any vaccine mandate by OSHA or the president, can require employees to be vaccinated,” said Buckley.
During the conversation, Buckley answered several COVID vaccine-related employment questions and discussed employee rights.
