Upcoming Tucker job fair expected to help local residents and Afghan refugees find employment

The “Back to Work” job fair is scheduled for Oct. 26 in Tucker.

New American Pathways is one of four local resettlement agencies that have partnered with the Tucker Summit Community Improvement District to help Afghan refugees rebuild their lives in Georgia and find employment.

Paedia Mixon, the CEO of New American Pathways, was a guest on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

During the conversation, Mixon talked with the program host about the Tucker “Back to Work” Job Fair, that’s being held on Oct. 26 at Stone Ridge Event Center from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Mixon also talked about her organization’s ongoing response amid the pandemic.
