The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office is working to combat gun violence and integrate the use of enhanced technology to investigate crimes.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston talked with program host Rose Scott about creating the Firearm Violence Prevention Unit and expanding the Digital Forensics Unit.

“We have safety measures in place that protect the public, our children and our community,” said Boston.

During the conversation, Boston said that her office is making a collaborative effort to prevent crime through outreach and education.

“We want to create spaces where we can talk to legal gun owners in our community about gun storage and gun safety,” she said.
