AARP strategic policy advisor explains why retirees are moving to Georgia
Many reports show that Florida has been the destination for retirees for several decades.
But things are starting to change, according to a report from The Philadelphia Inquirer, Georgia is now starting to rival the Sunshine State.
On Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Jana Lynott, an AARP senior strategic policy advisor, talked with program host Rose Scott about AARP’s Livability Index and the many factors that are influencing retirees to move to The Peach State.
During the conversation, Lynott further explained how culture plays a key role in retiring and housing.
“As our nation becomes more diverse, we see many different cultures in America that embrace more this notion of multi-generational housing,” explained Lynott.
