Synergies Work, an Atlanta non-profit supporting entrepreneurs with disabilities, is expanding in the face of federal cuts to programs that assist the community.

Synergies Work hosted its third annual EDDIE Awards on Thursday, an awards ceremony that showcases entrepreneurs within the disability community who are creating businesses by innovating in their respective fields.

The event celebrates and brings together disabled entrepreneurs, business leaders and supporters from within the community.

At the event, Deshaymond Solomon performed his song “Silenced.” He’s a blind R&B singer who founded his own media company with some help from Synergies Work.
