Atlanta BeltLine To Host Free Concert, Parade In Old Fourth Ward
“No Tables, No Chairs” is the latest installment of the Friends and Neighbors event series and is planned for Nov. 2.

An upcoming, free event on the Atlanta BeltLine is set to be a “funk-filled exploration.”
Mausiki Scales & the Common Ground Collective is showcasing the sounds of the African Diaspora during the “No Tables, No Chairs” parade and concert at the Old Fourth Ward Amphitheater Meadow on Nov. 2 from noon to 9 p.m.
“No Tables, No Chairs” is the latest installment of the Friends and Neighbors event series put on by Art on the Atlanta BeltLine and Arbitrary Living, an event production company.
“I am passionate about us getting back outside, getting into nature and getting in touch with our spirit and what our bodies need,” said Quianah Upton, founder of Arbitrary Living and #ChopItUpATL, in a press release. “We are hoping that being invited to play and meet in green space serves as a bridge to community engagement and fun.”
During the event’s ¾-mile spanning parade, afrobeat, hip-hop, funk and New Orleans jazz will be blended during Mausiki Scales & the Common Ground Collective’s performance.
Atlanta Junkanoo Band will treat event-goers to their Caribbean inspired sounds, and Egbe Sekere of Atlanta will be on percussion.
“Art on the Atlanta BeltLine offers free public art and programming that crosses boundaries to bring people together in artistic celebration,” Miranda Kyle, Arts and Culture program manager at the BeltLine, said in a press release. “Events like the Friends and Neighbors Day Fest support our goals of equity, inclusion, and community.”
A pop-up market and interactive art showings are also among the planned festivities.
Art on the Atlanta BeltLine is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
