Atlanta Federal Reserve Report Shows Pandemic Evictions Concentrated In ‘Hotspots’

Eviction filings during the pandemic have mostly affected lower-income and people of color located in just a few neighborhoods of Clayton and DeKalb counties and the city of South Fulton, according to a report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

One of the report’s authors, Sarah Stein, joined WABE’s “Morning Edition” to explain the findings, which she hopes will inform lawmakers’ decisions about providing aid.
