Atlanta is one of the few cities to publish its FIFA Human Rights Action Plan, but is it enough?

When Atlanta began crafting its strategy to protect citizens’ rights ahead of the World Cup, officials organized a community gathering in the atrium of City Hall.

Attendees brainstormed and wrote suggestions on colorful sticky notes, placing them on poster boards.

Candace Stanciel, Atlanta’s Chief Equity Officer, oversaw the creation of the city’s human rights plan and helped to lead the brainstorming event.
