When David Coucheron joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster in September 2010, he was 25 years old, the youngest concertmaster among any major U.S. orchestra. In addition to his role as ASO concertmaster, Coucheron is an active chamber musician and concert soloist.

He joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to celebrate 50 years of Atlanta Symphony broadcasts on WABE as part of an ongoing series.

“I hope that we will continue to be a very pleasant environment, I hope that we continue touring and I hope that we continue to put music first,” said Coucheron.

He plays the violin in the upcoming “Beethoven Project: Stutzmann Conducts Triple Concerto” on April 3-4.
