On the “City Lights” series “Speaking of Art,” local artists share insights into their influences, processes and experiences in Atlanta. This edition focuses on Atlanta tattoo artist Jenny Collins. Collins has been tattooing for about thirteen years, the last seven of which have been working out of her private studio.
“People come to me for my style which is geometric and nature-related, typically black and grey,” Collins said. “I like to combine hard, rigid geometric things with soft, nature-related elements and I think that the contrast of those two elements is really nice.” Collins has also done artwork for bands and other commissioned pieces, but mostly sticks to tattoos.
