Atlantans and tourists now have a new food resource guide that can help them pick from thousands of restaurants in the metro area.

On Tuesday night, Michelin released its first restaurant guide for Atlanta, revealing inspectors’ favorite spots in the city for fine dining, sustainable practices, and affordability.

A total of 45 local restaurants received a designation, including Atlas and Busy Bee. According to the Michelin’s website five restaurants received one Michelin star, ten restaurants received Bib Gourmands, and two restaurants received Green Stars. Several other restaurants were recognized as recommended restaurants.

Beth McKibben, editor of Eater Atlanta, joined Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look” to discuss the guide’s significance and selection process while also highlighting some of the awardees.
