Officials with Clayton County’s fire department have more details on an incident involving a dozen foster care teens living in the basement of a local church.

Clayton County’s Fire Department held a press conference Friday in Riverdale, addressing the incident.

Officials say a 911 call for a separate incident on July 29 led to the responders’ presence at Now Faith Apostolic Church in Rex, Georgia. Clayton County fire marshal Chris Camden found code issues in the basement, prompting further inspection.
